The cover and inner pages can be designed with the standard computer software. It is as easy to personalise the cover and inner pages as to produce chain letters by mail merge.

For printing the cover you can use a variety of machines from simple inkjet printers to high volume colour printing machinery. For the quality of the book, it is necessary to use min 180 g/m² cardboard - generally available in the office supply market.

The inner pages are normally printed black and white - it is the fastest way since the high speed printers produce 2 - 3 pages a second. If the book has i.e. 80 pages, even the speediest B&W printers make less than 3 books a minute - in perfect binding this capacity is easily achieved even by the manual Fastbind machines.
